Fig & Nut phyllo tartlet

This is a wonderfully simple recipe. Buy your phyllo pre-made and combine with our dried figs and some of their favourite companions โ€“ honey, lemon and spice โ€“ for a delicious treat filled with great textures and flavours.

Recipe

 

Brush 8 sheets phyllo pastry with melted butter and layer on top of each other. Cut to fit into small tart pans or muffin pans. Chop 100 g Ceciliaโ€™s Farm Turkish Figs and add to 150 g Ceciliaโ€™s Farm Roasted & Salted Mixed Nuts; 5 ml cinnamon; 2,5 ml allspice; a pinch of ground cardamom; 50 ml honey; 7,5 ml lemon juice and 5 ml grated lemon rind. Spoon into pastry cases and bake at 200 ยฐC until golden brown. Dip halved Turkish figs in warm honey and place on top of each tartlet.

OR

Brush 8 sheets phyllo pastry with melted butter and cut to fit into small tart pans or muffin pans. Make your favourite baklava mixture with nuts and spices and add 100 g chopped Ceciliaโ€™s Farm Turkish Figs. Spoon into pastry cases and bake at 200 ยฐC until golden brown. Top with extra Turkish figs, halved and dipped in warm honey.
